当春日的第一缕阳光轻抚校园,熟悉的欢声笑语再次在深圳普林云海国际幼儿园上空回荡。我们以一场充满书香与创意的“Dr.Seuss阅读月”开营仪式,为新学期写下温暖的序章。  When the first rays of spring sunshine touch the campus,familiar laughter echoes over the kindergarten again.We wrote a warm prelude to the new semester with the opening ceremony of"Dr.Seuss Reading Month",which was full of books and creativity.On this day,in the fantasy world of picture books,children met surprises,harvested growth,and started a beautiful journey about reading and working together.

当开学第一天撞上苏斯博士的生日,当色彩斑斓的DIY遇上IB PYP的探究精神,一场别具创意的“苏斯奇遇”拉开新学期序幕,变成了一本等待被孩子们“阅读”的立体书。

When the first day of school coincides with Dr.Seuss's birthday,when the colorful DIY meets the inquisitive spirit of the IB PYP,a creative"Seuss Adventure"kicks off the new semester and becomes a pop-up book waiting to be read by children.

苏斯博士说:“Think left and think right and think low and think high.Oh,the thinks you can think up if only you try!”(从左边想,从右边想,往低了想,往高了想!只要你愿意尝试,你能想出多么奇妙的想法!)

Dr.Seuss said,"Think left and think right and think low and think high.Oh,the thinks you can think up if only you try!”(Think from the left,think from the right,think lower,think high!)What amazing ideas you can come up with if you are willing to try!

今天,我们以一场特别的生日派对,正式开启“苏斯博士阅读月”。在这个集体活动中,孩子们不仅仅是故事的聆听者,更是故事的创造者!

Today,we officially kick off Dr.Seuss Reading Month with a special birthday party.In this group activity,children are not only listeners of stories,but also creators of stories.

孩子们用丰富的色彩和夸张的线条,复刻了《戴高帽子的猫》中的奇妙角色。在动手的过程中,他们尝试用线条和色彩表达自己对故事的理解,这不仅是艺术的创作,更是符号表达能力的体现。

Dr.Seuss theme frame DIY:Children use rich colors and exaggerated lines to recreate the wonderful characters in"The Cat in the Top Hat".In the process of hands-on,they try to express their understanding of the story with lines and colors,which is not only the creation of art,but also the embodiment of the ability to express symbols.

“马上有福”与小马相框DIY:

结合传统文化与手工创想,孩子们制作了属于自己的“小马”。在IB的“我们如何表达自己”这一主题中,这是孩子们通过具体的作品,向世界展示自己的情感与对美的理解。

Blessings and horse photo frame DIY:Combining traditional culture and handmade creativity,children made their own horses.In the IB theme"How We Express Ourselves",children show their emotions and understanding of beauty to the world through concrete works.

梦幻心愿瓶:

Dream Wish Bottle:The small bottle contains the children's expectations for the new semester,maybe to make a new friend,maybe to learn to read a book by Dr.Seuss.These innocent wishes were the initial seed of their active inquiry.

开营仪式的狂欢过后,孩子们回到了各自的班级,在这里,学习的深度正在发生。

After the carnival of the opening ceremony,the children returned to their respective classes,where the depth of learning was beginning to take shape.

·制作苏斯博士阅读帽:从模仿到创造

每个孩子都动手制作了一顶属于自己“阅读帽”。这顶帽子,是他们今天探究者的身份象征。正如苏斯博士笔下的角色总是特立独行,这顶独一无二的帽子也提醒着每一个孩子:在接下来的阅读月里,要像苏斯博士一样,敢想、敢说、敢表达。这种动手操作的过程,正是IB PYP中倡导的“在做中学”,孩子们通过亲手制作,与学习内容建立了深刻的情感联结。

·Making Dr.Seuss Reading Hats:From Imitation to Creation

Each child made their own"reading hat."This hat symbolizes their identity as an explorer for the day.Just as the characters in Dr.Seuss's books are always distinctive,this unique hat reminds each child that in the upcoming reading month,they should dare to think,speak,and express themselves like Dr.Seuss.This hands-on process is exactly what the IB PYP advocates as"learning by doing."By creating the hat themselves,children form a deep emotional connection with the learning content.

抽取幸运签:新学期的小确幸

幸运签里藏着的“钱”,给孩子们带来了开学的惊喜。孩子们学会分享快乐,学会承担责任,在惊喜中开启了对他人的关爱与对新集体的融入。

·Drawing Lucky Draws:Small Joys of the New Semester

Hidden in the lucky draws was money that brought surprises to the children at the start of school.The children learned to share joy and take on responsibility,opening up their care for others and integrating into the new group through these surprises.

共订班级公约:我们是学习的主人,这是IB教室里最重要的一环。

一张由孩子们自己绘制、自己约定的“班级公约”诞生了。这体现了IB PYP中“自我管理技能”(Self-management skills)的培养——孩子们不仅是规则的遵守者,更是规则的制定者。这为他们成为懂得关爱、原则分明的学习者打下了坚实的基础。

·Setting Class Contracts Together:We are the Owners of Our Learning,the Most Important Aspect in an IB Classroom

A"class contract"drawn and agreed upon by the children was created.This reflects the cultivation of"self-management skills"in IB PYP—children are not just followers of rules but also creators of them.This lays a solid foundation for them to become caring,principled learners.

开学第一天,我们通过“仪式感”唤醒孩子内在的潜能。

让我们一起,戴上那顶充满想象的帽子,翻开书页,在这个充满无限可能的新学期,像苏斯博士说的那样:

“You have brains in your head.You have feet in your shoes.You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”

(你的脑袋里有想法,你的脚上有鞋子,你可以自己选择方向,去任何地方!)

On the first day of school,we awaken the children's inner potential through a sense of ritual.

Let’s put on that imaginative hat,open the book,and in this new semester full of endless possibilities,as Dr.Seuss said:
