Geography Trivia Tournament 2025: A Battle of Wits, Speed, and Strategy!
2025 年地理知识竞赛： 智慧、速度和策略的较量！
The Social Studies Department’s inaugural School-Wide Geography Trivia Tournament concluded this Tuesday with a thrilling final showdown. Thirty-four students competed over four weeks, tackling flags, capitals, and landmarks via Kahoot! The top 10 finalists faced a Jeopardy!-style finale, with Ulyssa Guo (8th Grade) emerging as the undisputed champion by answering “Name Mexico’s largest freshwater lake” correctly (Lake Chapala) while keeping her 3,800intact!John Sun(11th Grade) placed second after a bold 1,600 bet. Congratulations to all participants—your passion for geography was inspiring!
本周二，社科部首届全校地理知识竞赛在一场惊心动魄的决赛中落下帷幕。34 名学生经过四周的角逐，通过 Kahoot 抢答国旗、首都和地标等问题！最后10名选手脱颖而出角逐冠军。最终，G8的郭元同学在保持 3800 分不失误的情况下，正确回答了 “墨西哥最大的淡水湖”（查帕拉湖），毫无争议地夺得冠军！G11的孙宣德同学以 1600 分赌分翻倍获得亚军。祝贺所有参赛选手--你们对地理的热情令人钦佩！

The PE Department’s Bench Press Competition on Tuesday was a roaring success! Students showcased their physical prowess while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. The gym buzzed with energy—a testament to our students’ dedication to both mind and body.
体育部周二举行的卧推比赛取得了圆满成功！学生们展示了自己的体能，同时培养了团队精神和体育精神。健身房内热闹非凡，充分体现了学生们对身心锻炼的投入。
AP Mock Exams: Preparing for Success

Wednesday and Thursday saw our AP students tackle mock exams in new computer-based and blended formats. This practice not only familiarized them with upcoming exams but also identified areas for focused review. Kudos to our AP team for their proactive approach!

Arts Department: Crafting Cinematic Stories

Our Arts Department is deep into midrange film production (10–20 minutes). Students are honing their storytelling skills, mastering techniques like scene framing, lighting, and color theory—all while filming on location. Stay tuned for their creative masterpieces!
