中美跨文化交流项目（ Cross-Cultural Virtual Exchange Programe）是苏州北美国际高级中学与美国北卡州立大学新教学法研究所指导下的美国海岸高中（Coastal High School）合作开展的通过网络平台进行互动交流的学术项目。该项目于2022年9月启动，以每学期为一周期，每月进行一次，每次一个主题。这种合作不仅打破了物理距离的限制，还通过现代科技架起了一座文化沟通的桥梁，让学生们在虚拟世界中探索多元文化，共享文化之美。
The Cross-Cultural Virtual Exchange Program is a collaborative academic initiative conducted via an online platform between our school and Coastal High School in the United States, under the guidance of the New Teaching Methods Institute at North Carolina State University. Launched in September 2022, the program operates on a semester basis, with monthly sessions each centered around a different theme. This collaboration not only overcomes physical distance limitations but also uses modern technology to build a bridge for cultural communication, allowing students to explore diverse cultures and share the beauty of cultural exchange in a virtual world.

跨文化交流，青春共鸣

本期参与该项目的是我校的7位同学由 Mr Michael Angelo老师指导，而美国海岸高中则是由Ms Xiaohong Lin老师带领14位学生共同参与。学生们不仅通过视频会议了解彼此，还通过邮件、社交媒体和其他数字平台进行互动，分享彼此的看法和见解。这种跨文化交流不仅促进了中美两国学生之间的相互理解，更在他们的青春岁月中留下了难忘的记忆。
In the current session of the Cross-Cultural Virtual Exchange Program, 7 students from our school are being guided by Mr. Michael Angelo, while Coastal High School in the United States is represented by 14 students under the leadership of Ms. Xiaohong Lin. The students not only get to know each other through video conferences but also interact via email, social media, and other digital platforms, sharing their views and insights. This cross-cultural exchange not only fosters mutual understanding between Chinese and American students but also creates memorable experiences during their formative years.

多彩主题，碰撞思维火花

每月一期的交流活动，为学生们提供了宝贵的机会，学生们深入探讨彼此的文化，交流主题涵盖旅行、音乐、娱乐、运动、节日等方面。这些丰富多彩的主题为学生们提供了一个广阔的平台，让他们能够分享和学习彼此的文化。
The monthly sessions of the exchange program offer students a valuable opportunity to delve deeply into each other's cultures, with themes covering travel, music, entertainment, sports, festivals, and more. These diverse and vibrant themes provide a broad platform for students to share and learn about each other's cultural backgrounds, enriching their understanding and appreciation of global diversity.

例如，在探讨旅行主题时，学生们展示了各自国家的名胜古迹，分享了各自的旅行经历；在音乐和娱乐主题中，他们互相推荐本国的流行歌曲和电影，甚至还现场演奏和表演。这些互动不仅拓宽了他们的视野，还激发了他们对不同文化的热爱和好奇心。
For instance, during the session focused on travel, students showcased famous landmarks from their respective countries and shared personal travel experiences. In the music and entertainment themed sessions, they recommended popular songs and movies from their countries, and some even performed live. These interactions not only broadened their horizons but also ignited a passion and curiosity for different cultures.

科技桥梁，连接心灵

这个利用网络平台进行交流的项目生动地展示了科技如何跨越地理距离，使学生能够获得对多元文化的充分了解。通过高质量的视频会议和实时互动，学生们得以直观地感受彼此的文化氛围。学生们在此次活动中不仅学习了彼此的语言和文化，还培养了跨文化沟通的能力和全球视野。这种通过科技手段实现的文化交流，让学生们认识到科技不仅是学习工具，更是连接世界的重要桥梁。
