为进一步加强家校联系,增进家长对学校教育教学管理及学生在校学习情况、未来升学规划的了解,更好地促进家校之间的有效沟通,自9月开学以来,玮希国际高中分别邀请了9-12年级的学生家长来校进行沟通交流。

In order to further strengthen the connection between parents and school, enhance parents' understanding of the school's educational management, students' learning situation, and future academic planning, and to promote effective communication between home and school, since September, WES International High School has invited parents of students in Grade 9-12 to the school for communication and exchange.

 

根据9-10、11-12年级不同阶段学生家长的不同需求,我们在家长工作坊中开设的主题也有所不同。

According to the different needs of parents of students in grades 9-10 and 11-12, the themes we have chosen for parent workshops are also different.

针对9、10年级的家长,助理校长Mr.Friend和高中部主任武顺老师为家长介绍了家长们关心的高中课程设置,学生如何从初中学习过渡到高中、高中部给予学生的各项支持以及对于学生的期望、高中四年的时间线以及对于未来升学现在要做的准备。

For parents of students in Grade 9 and 10, Mr. Friend, the assistant principal of CWA, and Ms.Kate, the head of the high school department, introduced the high school curriculum that parents are concerned about, how students transition from middle school to high school, the various support provided by the high school to students, expectations for students, the four-year timeline of high school, and the preparations needed for future academic advancement.

而对于11、12年级的学生家长,Mr.Friend和武顺老师更多以家长最关心的升学问题为导向,为家长介绍目前11、12年级的学生的升学成长时间线、接下来同学们将会完成一个重要的里程碑,以及分析了今年的升学情况以及学生和家长应如何准备等问题。

For parents of students in Grade 11 and 12, Mr. Friend and Ms. Kate focused more on addressing the parents' concerns about college admissions. They introduced the timeline of college admissions growth for students in Grade 11 and 12, discussed an important milestone that students will soon complete, analyzed this year's college admissions situation, and provided guidance on how students and parents should prepare.

针对于这几次不同年级的家长工作坊中,Mr.Friend非常热切的传达了观点:在高中四年的时光里,老师与家长保持密切的沟通以及和谐的关系是无比重要的,双方都在孩子成长中起着无比重要的作用。同时,Mr.Friend也表达了对高中生的期望值:学生们在高中应当竭尽全力去努力学习的高标准要求;在校应当严格遵守纪律;以及无论何时都有一颗热情和充满抱负的心。

During these parent workshops for different grade levels, Mr. Friend emphasized the importance of maintaining close communication and a harmonious relationship between teachers and parents throughout the four years of high school. Both parties play a crucial role in the growth of the child. Mr. Friend also expressed his expectations for high school students, stating that they should strive to meet high standards in their academic efforts, strictly adhere to discipline while in school, and always maintain a passionate and ambitious mindset.

此外,玮希的副校长Ms.Tiffany LI和升学指导老师Ms. Rissa Lian也向家长们说明了高中各年级阶段的升学规划、背景提升规划以及每年的各大国际竞赛的时间以及学生们现阶段需要做的准备,并详细说明了申请海外大学步骤和程序。
In addition, Ms. Tiffany Li, the vice principal of WES, and Ms. Rissa Lian, the college counselor, also explained to parents the college admission planning for each grade level in high school, strategies for enhancing students' backgrounds, and the timelines for major international competitions each year. They also provided detailed explanations on the steps and procedures for applying to overseas universities.

学生的进步来源于每一名老师的谆谆教导、诲人不倦,来源于每个孩子的点滴行动、不懈努力,更来源于家校合作机制的充分发挥、日臻完善。家校面对面环节,各学科教学老师与家长进行了一对一的交流和沟通,针对学生各科学习情况,有效建立起家长、学生与教师三者之间更加和谐的互动。
Students' progress comes from the earnest teaching and tireless guidance of each teacher, from the incremental actions and unremitting efforts of each child, and even more so from the full play and continuous improvement of the home-school cooperation mechanism. During the face-to-face sessions between parents and teachers, teachers from each subject area had one-on-one communication and exchanges with parents, and effectively established a more harmonious interaction among parents, students, and teachers based on the learning situation of each subject.
