On Friday 20th October we had our first House football competition for all children in Years 6 – 8, which was organised and coordinated by Mr Nesh. It was a fantastic afternoon which the children enjoyed and showcased our different levels of football skills. We wanted to focus this event around sportsmanship and working together as a team and participating in a team sport.

在10月20日周五,华兰萨顿国际学校为所有Y6-Y8的学生们举办了第一场学院足球比赛，这场比赛由Mr Nesh统筹组织。这是一个令人兴奋的下午，学生们都很享受其中，大家都展现出了不同程度的足球技能。我们希望能以展现体育精神为重点，大家作为团队一起参与到这场运动中。

Academic: Children were developing a range of skills that had be taught during Physical Education classes – working cooperatively, developing gross motor skills and taking an enjoyment in sporting activities.

学术：学生们正在锻炼体育课上教授的一系列技能——包括合作、发展精细运动技能和享受体育活动。

Community: Children worked collectively across their year groups in their respective Houses.

社区精神：孩子们跨年级的在各自所在的学院里进行活动。

Enrichment: Children all participated in an upper school event and developed relationships with other children within their House that they may not be so familiar with. This also allowed children to develop their football skills and understanding within football, in a fun and engaging manner.

拓展精神：学生们都参加了高年级组的活动，并与学院里的其他可能不太熟悉的学生们建立了关系。这也让孩子们以一种既有趣又引人入胜的方式来发展他们的足球技能，以及提升他们对足球的认知。

Leadership and Service: Children were given the opportunity to develop their own sense of leadership through effective communication and collaboration. Each House football team had their own Captain to spur on their team!

领导力与服务：学生们有机会通过有效的沟通和协作培养自己的领导意识。每个学院足球队都有自己的队长来鼓励他们的球队！

Children in Years 3–5 will compete in the Junior School House Football competition on Friday 3rd November.
