Beijing Xin Fuxue International Academy will host Cambridge Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor David Cardwell, FREng for an afternoon lecture on 20th October 2023.

大卫·卡德维尔（David Cardwell），英国皇家工程院院士、世界著名超导专家、英国剑桥大学副校长，剑桥大学工程学终身正教授。

Professor David Cardwell is a member of the Royal Academy of Engineering, a world-renowned expert in bulk high-temperature superconductors, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Cambridge, and Professor of Superconducting Engineering, University of Cambridge.

从剑桥充满挑战的丰富教育课程出发，David Cardwell教授将为我们系统地介绍剑桥的学院制模式、课程特色与拥有的优良环境支持条件。

Professor David Cardwell will provide a systematic introduction to the collegiate model, programme characteristics, and curriculum features of Cambridge University.

同时，他也会详细讲述剑桥大学及其他罗素集团名校的申请与录取、笔试、面试的经验与准备，以及录取后如何选择专业与学院等与申请和录取相关的更加实际的问题。

Professor Cardwell will discuss in depth the application process and admission requirements for Cambridge and other Russell Group institutions. In addition, he will discuss the preparation for exams and interviews, as well as other practical college admissions considerations.

国际化人才培养&PBL法则

他将讨论如何培养国际化人才，为申请世界最负盛名的学校做更广泛的准备。

In addition, he will discuss the development of global talents in preparation for their applications to the most prestigious institutions in the world.

关于这个问题，David Cardwell教授将给出他的理念，并针对小学、初中和高中三个阶段给出更详细的教育方法与经验分享，以及基于问题的学习(PBL)，是一种以学生为中心的教学法，学生通过解决触发材料、方法、实际应用中发现的开放式问题的经验来学习一门学科。

Professor Cardwell will share his views other topics of interests to students and educators of different grades, among them, the problem-based approach to learning (PBL).
