我们的愿景、使命及目标

无论是刚刚加入的新生家庭还是创校生家庭，我想给所有顺义诺德安达社区成员们一个充满温暖的欢迎。

通常新学年是一个令人激动且兴奋的时刻，因为我们刚刚结束了漫长的暑假，整装待发，对即将到来的一年充满了期待。

学校也会借此机会对去年进行总结及反思，力求不断追求卓越，更好地践行和诠释我们的愿景、使命和目标。

在顺义诺德安达，我们的愿景是培养充满自信、德才兼备的双语新生代，帮助学生不断发展创造力、韧性和全球视野，助力学生在世界舞台上绽放。

我们的课程将中国国家课程、国际先进的教学元素及全球优质教育资源有效结合。帮助学生夯实母语基础，培养文化自豪感和文化传承。

我们的双语课程还可以更好地帮助学生提升双语水平，发展国际视野及跨文化交流能力，助力学生成为思想开放、尊重并理解多元文化的交流大使。

今年是我们创校的第二年，我们很高兴将进入到下一阶段的国际课程学习中。十年级的学生可以参加学校量身定制为期一年的IGCSE速通课程，9年级的学生也将开启为期两年的IGCSE课程学习。

此外，我们在中学阶段还开设了两种不同难度与级别的英文课程，确保所有学生都能根据自己的语言能力选择到适合的课程。

继创校教师团队之后，我们的教学团队也迎来了新的血液。英语、人文社科、经济、数学、寄宿老师等都加入了诺德安达大家庭，这将进一步加强学校的各项教学及服务工作。

新学年的成长与蜕变

新的学年已经开始了，我非常期待在新的学年中和全体教师团队继续共同见证学生的成长和蜕变。经过了创校学年的磨合，学校的各部门工作运转更为协调高效，教师们也利用暑期的时间梳理课程，为新学年的到来做好充足准备。

为了精进学校的学术能力，新学年学校将在差异化教学方面进一步提升。随着新教师的加入，学校教学力量将进一步加强。

在新学年小学阶段不仅增加了英语支持力量，双语班主任也会将更多的时间投入到学生的语言发展中。

中学生的所有英语课都将继续采用走班教学的方式，根据学生的英语能力匹配不同的教师、教学资源及课堂支持，从而更有效率地提高学生的英文水平。

我们的校园活动在新学年同样精彩纷呈。趣味运动会、学科周活动、国际歌唱比赛还有新年演出和年终汇演等。丰富的校园活动能够挖掘学生潜力，促进全人教育。让孩子们在各类领域中发挥所长、大放异彩。

新的学年，同学们将有更多的机会走出校外，通过不同的研学活动丰富学习体验。学生将有机会在国内外的博物馆中徜徉，领略中国和世界悠长的文化发展历程；还可以在瑞士的群山中体验徒步旅行的快乐；当然还能参观其他国家的诺德安达校园，与来自世界各地的优秀学子在联合国为未来献策。

学校在暑假期间将校园进行了全面修缮以及设备更新，室外游乐设施也将在新学年正式投入使用。我们相信这些努力都能帮助学生们在新的学年拥有更为快乐的校园生活。

新学期的开学典礼隆重而又温馨，一早顺义诺德学子们就身着校服正装、配戴领带来到阔别月余的校园里，鲜艳醒目的“诺德安达蓝”充满了整个校园。

在开学典礼上，学校校长、学监及教师代表发表了新学年致辞。向参加典礼的学生与家长们介绍了新学期校园的变化，也寄托了对诺德学子发展的希望。

学生代表与家长代表也发表了感言，期待在新学期里能够在学校的支持下，获得更多成长与惊喜。

顺义诺德的校园也布置一新，充满了迎新的氛围。在老师的带领下，新生们参观了校园，领取了新生礼包，被分配到“诺” “德” “安” “达”四个学院中，在未来为学院集体荣誉而战。

We are back to our home away from home!

With beautiful and warm sunlight, students, parents, and teachers returned to school and welcomed the new school year, smiling and enthusiastic. 

•  This year, the experienced team of teachers from NAS Beijing, Shunyi will provide students with personalized learning experiences, and help students to strengthen their academic, language, and personal-social skills.

•  The rich curriculum and campus activities will help students to realize their potential, develop their expertise, and develop transferable skills needed for the future.

Our Vision, Mission And Aims

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our families, whether they are returning for another year or joining us for the first time. 

The start of a new academic year is always an exciting time, as we return, refreshed from our summer holidays and full of aspirations for the upcoming year. 

It is customary in schools to take this opportunity to take another look at our vision, mission and aims and to find ways to better articulate that vision in the day to day lives and educational experiences of our students.

At NAS Beijing, Shunyi our overarching vision is to shape a bilingual generation of creative, successful and resilient global citizens who have the confidence and creativity to change our world for the better.

We provide an enriched Chinese National Curriculum which combines international elements and global resources. 

Our students are proud of their Chinese identity, maintain high proficiency in Chinese language, and value Chinese traditions and cultural heritage. 

The bilingual programme prepares our students to possess excellent bilingual proficiency, develop international-mindedness, intercultural understanding and skills and become cultural ambassadors who are open-minded and respectful of other cultures and traditions.

As we begin our second year, we are excited to be able to introduce new programmes and subjects, with the launch of both our Fast Track iGCSE programme for Grade 10 students and our 2-year IGCSE programme for Grade 9 students.

In addition, we have created two English streams in the Secondary school to ensure that all students are on the appropriate language pathway for their background experience and ability. 

Joining our teaching team we have new teachers of English, Social Studies, Economics and Maths and we also welcome a new experienced Boarding Tutor to our Boarding house.

New Progress in a New 

School Year

The new school year has begun, and I am looking forward to witnessing the growth and transformation of students together with all the teachers in the new school year. After our first school year, different school departments are working more efficiently, and teachers are prepared for the new school year.

To improve students’ academic ability, the school will continue our focus on personalized learning in the new academic year. Our teaching team has been enhanced by the addition of new teachers in the Primary and Secondary school. 

In the new school year, English support will be increased at the primary school and bilingual class teachers will spend more time helping with students' language development. 

All English classes for secondary school students will adopt a levelled teaching approach. Students with different English proficiencies will be grouped and taught according to their language levels.

Our campus activities will be even more exciting in the new school year. We plan to organize fun sports games, academic week activities, international singing competitions, a New Year Gala, and end-of-year performances. A wide range of activities can develop students' experiences and is part of our holistic education. Students will be challenged to perform their best no matter what activities they choose.

In the new academic year, students will have more opportunities to go outside the school, enriching their learning experience through different research activities. Students will also have the chance to visit museums in China and abroad and learn about the history and cultural development of different countries. Children can experience the joy of hiking in the mountains of Switzerland, visit other NAE schools, and discuss current issues at the Model United Nations with other outstanding students from around the world.

The school has renovated the campus and upgraded the equipment this summer. The outdoor play facilities will be officially put into use in the new school year. We believe that students will have an even happier campus life in the new academic year.

OPENING CEREMONY | NEW HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

The Opening Ceremony of the new academic year had a full audience of families, students, teachers and staff. We welcomed our new families and existing students, all of which arrived wearing their school uniforms and were ready for the upcoming year.

At the opening ceremony, the school principal, superintendent, and Assistant Head of Primary gave speeches, introducing the major changes in the new semester to the students and parents. Representatives from students and parents also got on the stage, extending their eagerness for more accomplishments and surprises with the support of the school in the new semester.

Our campus was set up with a welcome banner to mark the occasion. Students and parents visited the classrooms with their teachers and received their New Student’s Package.

Parents watched a presentation form the teachers and then the students took part in some introductory activities while parents visited different members of the school services teams. New pupils were sorted into four houses: Honesty, Integrity, Serenity, and Fortitude.

The class activities after the ceremony let the new and old families get familiar with each other and gain more knowledge of the class teachers and subject teachers. 

The teacher's detailed introduction also made the families better understand our expectations for the students in the new semester. Here, the new and old students built up a "big family" and became peers, moving forward together.
