To be considered for admission to ISB,students and their parents must be able to document that they fall into one of the four categories illustrated below.When space availability is limited in a grade,admissible applicants with a higher-priority status will be admitted before those with lower priority status.
Within priority categories,special consideration may be given to applicants of returning families,those who have enrolled siblings,and/or with a high level of English proficiency.
Being registered as an International School for Foreign Nationals in Beijing,we are unable to consider applications from Chinese national families that are permanently resident in mainland China.This is in accordance with the current authorities’rules and regulations.
Priority 1
Foreign passport-holding students of founding embassy employees(Australia,Canada,New Zealand,United Kingdom,United States).
Priority 2
Foreign passport-holding families with a parent holding a Chinese-issued work visa and a student holding a corresponding dependency(S1)visa.
Priority 3
-China-HK,China-Macau,China-Taiwan permanent residency families holding travel permits(通行证).
-Foreign and Chinese passport-holding families holding Q1 visa(s)/Chinese residency permit(s).
Priority 4
Chinese passport-holding families with foreign permanent residency permits and proof of having lived abroad for more than one year.

Students wishing to enrol in Dulwich College Beijing must meet the requirements of the Beijing Municipal Education Commission(BMEC):Foreign passport holders with a valid Chinese visa or Travel document/Hong Kong SAR,Macau SAR and Taiwan passport holder with valid travel permits(回乡证/台胞证)/Chinese passport holder with foreign permanent residency permits and proof of having lived in the foreign country for more than one year.
Applicant families who are unsure of eligibility are to consult the DCB Admissions Office for further advice.
In addition to providing the application and supporting documents,all students wishing to join are subject to the admissions checklist set out below.
Nursery/Reception(ages 3 to 5)
Students applying for entry in the DUCKS must submit current and prior school records(if any)or a Confidential DUCKS Teacher Comment Report from their current teacher if the student has had previous education.Students entering Nursery and Reception must be toilet trained.All applicants who meet the entry requirements will be invited to meet with our key academic staff in DUCKS in a group setting.
Years 1 and 2(ages 5 to 7)
Students applying for entry into Year 1 and Year 2 must submit current and prior school records.A Confidential Teacher Comment Report from the class teacher or Principal may also be required.Applicants who meet the entry requirements will be invited to meet with key academic staff in DUCKS in a one-to-one setting.
Junior School(Years 3 to 6,ages 7 to 11)
Students applying for entry into Years 3 to 6 must submit current and prior school records.Students also undertake assessments to ensure they can access the curriculum.The Cognitive Ability Test(CAT)consists of verbal,quantitative and non-verbal assessments.Students will also complete a writing assignment as well as an interview with key academic staff in Junior School.A Confidential Teacher Comment Report from the class teacher or Principal may also be required.
Senior School(Years 7 to 13,ages 11 to 17)
Students applying for entry into Years 7 to 13 must submit current and prior school records.Students also undertake assessments to ensure they can access the curriculum.The assessment consists of computerized test including verbal,quantitative and non-verbal sections.Candidates will also complete a writing assignment.Candidates whose first language is not English will also take an English as an Additional Language assessment.All Senior School candidates will be interviewed by key and relevant academic staff as part of the admission process.A Confidential Teacher Comment Report from the class teacher or Principal may also be required.
Entry into Years 11 to 13
Entry into Year 11
Applications for enrolment into Year 11 are considered on a case-by-case basis and are typically not considered for Term 2 and 3,as current students will be on study leave for mock and final exams for a large portion of this period.
Entry into Year 12
Students applying for entry into Year 12 must submit current and prior school records.Students also undertake assessments to ensure they can access the curriculum.The assessment consists of computerized test including verbal,quantitative and non-verbal sections.Candidates will also complete a writing assignment.Candidates whose first language is not English will also take an English as an Additional Language assessment.All Senior School candidates will be interviewed by key and relevant academic staff as part of the admission process.A Confidential Teacher Comment Report from the class teacher or Principal may also be required.
Entry into Year 13
The College will very rarely consider entry into Year 13.To be considered,students must be applying from a nearly identical IB programme and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Once all application materials have been submitted,as well as the completion of the necessary assessment and interview,the Admission Committee will review the student's application and inform parents of the admission decision.As DCB is a selective school,not all students who apply will be offered a place.We select students who appear to be most likely to succeed academically,socially,and emotionally.
Overseas Candidates
Special arrangements can be made for entrance assessments to be administered at the candidate's current school.If a candidate cannot be interviewed,a provisional place may be offered,which can be withdrawn if the College later determines it cannot support the child's needs or there is a concern raised that was not previously known.

BSB is licensed as an expat school under the Ministry of Education and can only accept qualified students who hold a foreign passport with the appropriate visa.
In accordance with the new requirements implemented by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission(BMEC)for applicants from Hong Kong,Macau,and Taiwan,the student must be foreign passport holders(including passports of Hong Kong,Macao,and Taiwan).Students from Hong Kong,Macau,and Taiwan must also hold a travel permit(回乡证,台胞证).If your family hold other countries’Permanent Residence(PR),or the student holds a foreign passport and travel document,please submit your family's document to our Admissions team for consultation.Please note that original documents need to be provided during application process.

招收外籍人员子女以及港澳台学生，申请人的父母至少其中一方为外籍(持外国护照或永久居住证)或港澳台居民。如申请人持中国护照，申请人父母至少一方需持永久居民证、中国教留服所提供的国外学历认证书，以及在前海工作满90天以上的有效证明。
外国护照持有人
1、父母一方至少持有北京市公安局出入境管理局签发的有效外国护照和工作居留证，学生持有北京市公安局出入境管理局颁发的私人企业（目的）居留证的有效外国护照
2、至少有一名家长和学生持有外交护照，以及中华人民共和国外交部礼宾司签发的外交居留证
3、至少有一名家长和学生持有有效的外国护照，并持有外国人的中华人民共和国永久居留证（须经英国教育部正式批准）
4、至少有一名家长和学生持有有效的外国护照，并持有北京市公安局出入境管理局颁发的团聚居留证（须经北京市公安局正式批准）
港澳居民
5、至少有一名家长和学生持有下列三份身份证件：香港或澳门永久性居民身份证/香港或澳门特别行政区护照/香港或澳门居民往内地的通行证
台湾居民
6、至少由一名家长和学生持有下列两份身份证件（中国）台湾护照/台湾居民的大陆旅行许可证
持有外国永久居民许可证（绿卡）的中国护照持有人
7、父母和学生均持有有效证件，并持有有关居住和学习证书在国外居住一年以上的证明（须经BMEC最后批准）
要求及申请资格：
1)所需文件
最近两年的英文版成绩单/学习记录（可能需要翻译），包括本年的成绩单（如有），和/或任何其他相关文件或教师推荐信（扫描件或复印件）申请费（不可退还）人民币2,500元孩子和父母的护照照片各1张（JPEG格式电子版）孩子和父母/监护人的身份证明文件（高质量扫描件）
2)申请入学必须提交以下身份证明文件：
外籍护照持有者：
护照*北京签发的外国居民签证*工作许可（必须在入学后90天内提交）香港、
台湾和澳门居民：
护照（香港/台湾/澳门）永久居民身份证（香港/台湾/澳门）回乡证**在京在职聘用证明（就业证明）
海外归国的中国人：
指中国人在国外（中华人民共和国境外）生活和工作了很长时间，获得了永久居留权和/或其子女出生在国外。
护照***外国永久居留身份证/签证在您持有外国永久居留权的国家/地区居住不少于12个月的居住证明**在京在职聘用证明（就业证明）
*代表对于尚未居住在北京的家庭，本文件可在入学后90天内提交。
**在职聘用证明应打印在有公司抬头的纸上，由人力资源部门负责人签字，并盖公司公章，内容应包括：被聘用者姓名、出生日期、所聘工作岗位、聘用期限、聘用单位的注册名称、地址和电话。
所有报名人员均须提供：
-法定机关护照复印件，就业居留许可证复印件
-学生外国护照复印件，《就业居留许可证》上显示为“家庭成员”的许可证复印件
-申请时未在中国居住的家庭：在北京工作证明（抵达中国后需提供中国签证/中国居留证复印件）
-家庭记录簿或出生证明复印件
-学校证明：上一学年的学校证明及本学年前两个季度学校证明
-《预防接种手册》（预防白喉、破伤风、小儿麻痹接种页）
-注册协议
北京加拿大国际学校招收对象主要为在北京市行政区域内合法居留的外籍人员的子女。
与此同时，经相关教育行政部门批准，学校可适当招收在京合法居留的香港、澳门特别行政区和台湾地区居民子女、在境外依法定居的中国公民的子女以及符合相关规定的引进人才子女等。
1、学生和家长同时持有外国护照和有效中国签证
2、学生和家长为港澳台居民
3、持有他国绿卡，并能证明在海外生活至少一年
4、正在办理国籍转换
